It is time to close the book of Ashes for now.
Why?
The original owner has returned and has been continuing from where they left off. I managed to supply as I had originally blogged about. Still working on the rest I listed but haven’t done though but if the original owner wishes to acquire them on their own from this forth, I shall oblige as it’s bad to impose on others >u<

Not much I’m afraid. u_u Still a long way to go. There are even some items I have yet to move from my vault into theirs. After all I did keep it on my person for their sake but …kept forgetting to send them over. /sigh
And ahah~ I always forget to check on MA and LG prices to finally craft those belts for these girls. I should get around to it after I’m done with my new character project on my main. ^^;
Basically, there won’t be any activity here anymore as things have finally come to an end. I’m not sad but mostly happy since I felt that it was such an abrupt pause/stop to their gaming with us and hoped they would come back. Now they have, they managed to do so smoothly and was able to get back on their feet fast enough. Or so I hoped.
At any rate, mission has been accomplished… kinda.
Will prolly ressucitate this blog once more when given a chance to tinker around with other people’s peoples in game. x)
For quite sometime now, the girls have been sporting brand new sets of earrings.
Calcatrix (Catherine Torsche) has a silver one that increases penetration, figured that would help her damage since daggers don’t really have much of that.
The other two have the golden earring which increases immunity on the other hand. Ophelia (Reckless Emilia) is quite fragile and needs all the help she can get to buffer the hurt. Alice (Valeria)? Well, she just has to be tougher than usual and needs all that immunity.
Besides that, I’ve been doing clearance sales, after much pilfering from the vault to raise vis. I figured that they will need boosts in terms of equips to be able to meet the demands of dailies.
It was originally planned that the second set of upgrades for the family would be in terms of belt crafting. Alas, the prices of Magical Amethyst and Liquefied Gas have spiked up thanks to the lack of a viable source of such. Thus the recipes sit untouched till prices are less painful on the pocket. I have recently spent a pretty penny on my primary family, thus cannot see myself pushing so hard as of late.
High quality belt and high quality leather belt increases hp, def and adds immunity. I have experienced the ‘help’ of these on my own and cannot wait to have them experience the same benefits. For now, they wear hand me down rough leather and rough belts. It helps but I prefer these the very least.
Having abandoned that plan owing to inflation, I am currently looking into the possibilities of upgrading weapons.
At the moment, I am gathering materials, if not chips for the following:
- + 6 Cuspid of Steel (Currently being chipped, quite cursed if I may say so myself. 50 chips and no decent stats have surfaced. I am aiming for an AR stat for this one.)
- El Colgado (A better training dagger than the Pioneer’s Mysterious Dagger, without a question, this will definitely do until I can manage more chips to get all five racials.)
- + 6 Elite Moonstone Rod (Might rechip the old one or look into getting a spare one. Or replace with an e92 special rod because of the higher base atk.)
- + 6 Elite Battle Crossbow (When the vis and time allows me, I might ask a friend to enter Los Toldos for me to craft me a crossbow for Katerina. But first I need to gather chips for this when I do as I am not too sure I will be rewarded with great stats upon crafting. :’D)
I recently went in with this team inside a new soloable raid and it was not a pleasant time at all. >.<; It was…quite tiring and slow to do as the boss was tough and the girls simply couldn’t hit as hard as I had hoped for. I wasn’t disappointed though, rather I was sympathetic and decided it was time to make use of the vis that I raised for them in the first place.
In due time, I will look for good e92 armors for them. Preferably +6 with 3DR stat. While it is preferable for them to wear +6 LN 3DR stats, I can’t even afford that with my own family and I raid more often, finding time to earn vis there. >u<; Thankfully, e92s have become more within reach… Should manage to afford at least for Calcatrix, as she’s wearing a rather clean EBF which makes her take hurt less effectively than the other two.
I yielded an Artisan’s Leather Boots recipe yesterday from CT. I have already managed to craft a good pair of boots for myself thus am not in need of it. So that recipe will be crafted for the use of the fighter/scout/musketeer types in this family instead. I am most confident the extra boosts it gives will be quite worth it.
But first… I need to save up for it. ^^;; I am low on the ingredients for it and must replenish my supplies.
I suppose that’s it for now. No photos sadly. I haven’t been playing much truth be told. Internet woes and all, have recently gotten better and am trying to make up for lost time. Easier said than done but should be something worth doing.

By 10.6, the two Arsene/Circus oriented raids will be changed. The most significant (at least to me right now) is that Chateau de Bourgogne will be soloable now. No more need for starters.
So my first BIG target are to make either Calcatrix or Ophelia Circus ready.
Or at least work on getting them circus-ready at some point.
It’s not such a far off plan considering that they can both spam skills nicely and play hide and seek inside. (Something I am quite used to doing with my own toons). But to make it happen… :””””D
